La Poste Notifications to customers project
Context and goals
Our client, Le Groupe La Poste, is a major player in transport in France and Europe. His job, like most logistics players, is undergoing major change. It is in this context that La Poste launched an ambitious program which aims to “move from the world of products to the era of services”.
The Parcels cluster called on Mind7 Consulting to support it in the implementation of a reactive architecture, which aims to:
- Implement a reactive architecture capable of processing a thousand events per second on the fly
- Reduce IT costs by leveraging more open source bricks
- Reduce the time it takes to implement new features

Added value
Management of business rules
Real time
Action automation
Customer relationship
Processing large volumes of data
The project
Mind7 Consulting participates in the central package lifecycle tracking application which consolidates all Track and Trace information. This information is thus made available to the rest of the information system via micro-services.
Mind7 Consulting teams took part in defining the architecture as well as designing and building the application. A particular effort was made to optimize the performance of the different technologies used, but also to impact on infrastructure

In collaboration with the various project teams, Mind7 Consulting consultants have carried out tasks as varied as collecting needs, defining Uses Cases, architecture, development, testing (including performance), deployment or still the transversal coordination of projects.
“ The commitment of Mind7 Consulting alongside us has helped us to meet our performance commitments during peak delivery periods at the end of the year. This is the real expectation of the profession. “
Jérémy Amourous, Director of Information Systems, La Poste Colissimo
Effort and technologies
The technical environment is based on open source bricks such as Spark, Akka, Cassandra and Elastic. Most of the developments are made in Scala or in Go. Interactions with teams on other projects, but also with IT production, the business teams and of course La Poste architects were daily within the framework of this Agile project with iterations of two weeks.
